Why choose the PearlFibers access device
Card and screen in one device, a relay that drives the lock, integration with your booking system, and it keeps working through power and network cuts. Here's what you get.
PearlFibers builds a door-access device for booking- and schedule-based entry, deployed and proven at Business Avenue. If you're choosing hardware to control access to meeting rooms, clinics, studios or any reservable space, here's what it gives you.
Card and screen in one device
Members tap an RFID card; guests type the reservation code from their booking on the screen. You don't have to choose between a badge reader and a touchscreen — you get both, and every entry is logged: who, when, and on which booking.
It drives the lock — no extra box
A smart, adjustable DC mechanical relay drives the magnetic lock directly, sized to your door. That's one less controller to buy, wire and maintain, on a custom control board with 12 GB of RAM in a case built for the device.
It runs on your bookings
The on-device software integrates with your reservation or management system, so the door enforces real bookings instead of a static list of codes. When someone's reservation ends, so does their access — automatically.
It keeps working when the power and network don't
Every open/deny decision is made on the device against a synced local cache, so an internet drop never locks out a paid booking. For power cuts, a separate custom UPS add-on — 14.8 V, with outputs for both the device and the lock — keeps the whole door running. In Iraq, that's the difference between access control and a locked door.
It's built for more than one door
Pairing, provisioning and over-the-air updates are built in, and it's white-labeled to your brand. The twelfth door installs like the first — so it scales from a single room to a fleet across branches.
One team for the device, the integration and the support
PearlFibers designs the hardware, builds the software, integrates it with your system, and supports it under an operate plan — monitoring, updates and support in one place. It's the same capability behind everything else we build, up to full home and industrial automation.
Proven at Business Avenue
It's on every meeting-room door across six Business Avenue branches, granting access from the reservation calendar every day. The full case study is here, and the product page is PearlAccess.
